Academic Program and Activities

 The Department of Animal Sciences and Agricultural Education offers a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science with an Equine emphasis.  A Master of Science Degree program in Animal Science, with a research focus in equine science, is also available.

Equine science courses include:

ASci 51 - Horse Production                               

ASci 52 - Beginning English Equitation

ASci 53 - Intermediate English Equitation

ASci 54 - Beginning Western Horsemanship

ASci 55 - Intermediate Western Horsemanship

ASci 151 - Advanced Horse Management

ASci 152 - Equine Nutrition

ASci 153 - Stable Management

ASci 185T - Beginning Colt Training

ASci 185T - Advanced Colt Training

ASci 194 - Internship

Equine Science courses fill specific curriculum requirements for students pursuing an Equine Science emphasis within the B.S. degree program in Animal Science.

Students pursuing any major can take Equine Science courses as electives.

Non-students may take Equine Science courses through Fresno State's open university programs.
